Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add aManufacturing Engineerlocated inFlex PTP.
Reporting to theTest Engineering Manager , theManufacturing Engineerrole is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes by providing technical support and maintenance of manufacturing methods by performing the following duties in the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.
What a typical day looks like:
Understand manufacturing and test equipment concepts, technologies and techniques.
Design manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
Define equipment maintenance requirements, identify root causes of equipment failures, and develop hands-on maintenance skills.
Work with other engineering stakeholders and customers on problem solving and continuous improvement to the design of equipment and products and may develop corrective and preventive action plans.
May be involved in development and update of PFMEA for new products.
Write and update work instructions and other documents (e.g., specifications, procedures).
Analyze and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Confer with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Coordinate with customers to determine product specifications and design changes and respond to customer requests.
Provide information for management decisions from a technical and cost perspective.
Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar field.
Experience with project management.
