As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient transition of new products from design to production while continuously improving manufacturing processes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, production, quality, and supply chain to optimize production systems, enhance product quality, and ensure on-time delivery. Your responsibilities will include identifying and resolving manufacturing challenges, setting up efficient workflows, and driving initiatives to improve cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the manufacturing process for new product introductions (NPI) from initial concept to production launch.
2. Collaborate with international R&D, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure products are manufacturable and scalable.
3. Develop and oversee project timelines to ensure production milestones are achieved on time.
4. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to source materials and components for manufacturing.
5. Facilitate prototype builds, pilot runs, and production ramp-ups to ensure smooth product launches.
6. Identify and address risks related to tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
7. Evaluate first samples and manage engineering change processes.
8. Design and document assembly processes, including creating standard operating instructions and defining assembly routings.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or a related field).
2. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, new product introduction, or a related role.
3. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
