Description Lead technical initiatives in resolving complex product & process related problems in meeting specific quality, cost and efficiency objectives.Work with peers, cross functional team members and suppliers in providing systematic analysis of technical issues, propose practical solutions and drive for timely implementation while adhering to regulatory requirements and quality standards.Analyze manufacturability of NPI in terms of assembly and test processes; work closely with R&D and Materials Engineering in rationalizing critical process and test specifications.May be assigned to product sustaining activities on top of improvement projects.May be required to lead or participate in product transfer activities.Establish good-practices, process flow and guidelines for common engineering activities (design criteria, circuit troubleshooting guide, etc.
).Provide guidance to junior engineers to develop technical competencies within the team.Lead value engineering activities to lower the material cost, improve assembly and test through redesign and process engineering.May potentially required to lead projects for overall Penang factory.
QualificationsBachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics or equivalent.Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering environment with strong basics in product engineering support and documentation (WI, FMEA, Control Plan, etc.
).Practical and in-depth knowledge in PCB & PCBA design and circuitry; able to interpret & troubleshoot at circuitry and component level.Experienced in NPI and Product Transfer activities involving complex and technically challenging electro-mechanical products.Well-versed in quality tools and statistical methods (SPC, DOE, Statistical Inference, etc.)
in analysis and technical problem solving.Strong inclination to continuous improvement.Technically inclined with considerably good communication and people skills.Experience in the medical industry will be an added advantage.Additional DetailsThis job has a full time weekly schedule.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
