Job DescriptionThe Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for handling the development of products from design to production stage, ensuring minimum downtime of the release of the technical drawings. He/she will work extensively with a team of manufacturing operators, technicians, and engineers on daily production issues while working closely with overseas counterparts to improve the product design based on customer requirements and needs.ResponsibilitiesHandling the development of products from design to the production stage.Improving design based on customer requirements and needs.Provide support to mechanical issues to ensure minimum downtime of technical drawings.Generate mechanical weekly/monthly reports.Responsible for improving the design in the product cycle.Operational Metrics: Improve Engineering FAI release from 11 to 13 FAI per day.Manufacturing Capabilities Assessment: turnover rate from an average of 2 days to 1 day.Alternative part evaluation from buyers or SPS/PR request to change to alternative parts, reducing cycle time from an average of 3 days to 2 days.Able to focus on new outsource supplier qualification.Address production issues on label, cut-list, fitting/components compatibilities, and drawings resolution in less than 3 days.NC (Non-Conformance) improvement projects for both internal production and outsource suppliers.Preparation for ISO 9001 certification, requiring additional man hours for preparation and sustaining of documents such as Work Instruction, OCAP (Out of Control Action Procedure), FMEA, and Control Plan.QualificationsDegree in Engineering - Mechanical/Machining/CNC/Manufacturing.2 years engineering experience ideally in the manufacturing field.Good computer skills, especially AutoCAD and other Engineering software.Good command of both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.Strong problem-solving and presentation skills.Knowledge in Weldment is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
