About the role
The Manufacturing Excellence Lead for Asia is responsible for driving operational excellence across four manufacturing sites in the region.
This role ensures that best practices in manufacturing excellence, process optimization, and continuous improvement are consistently implemented to achieve world-class standards in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
The individual will collaborate with site leaders to establish a culture of excellence and innovation.
Role Responsibilities:
Strategic LeadershipDevelop and implement a regional operations excellence strategy aligned with business objectives.
Set performance benchmarks and key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing sites, in line with the Global Haleon Performance System.
Act as a liaison between regional manufacturing sites and global operations teams.Continuous Improvement and Process OptimizationFoster a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring and training site teams on the global Haleon Performance System (HAPS).
Ensure effective use of technology and automation to enhance operations.
Identify inefficiencies and standardize best practices across all sites to improve productivity and reduce waste.
Monitor progress of improvement initiatives and report on ROI.Quality, GMP, and ComplianceEnsure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and global quality standards.
Drive initiatives to reduce defects, improve product quality, and enhance customer satisfaction.Performance MonitoringWork with sites to analyze operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Conduct regular Gembas, audits, and assessments to ensure alignment with excellence and compliance goals.
Provide actionable recommendations to site leaders based on performance insights.Stakeholder ManagementBuild strong relationships with site leaders, functional teams, and external partners.
Influence and align cross-functional teams on operations excellence objectives.
Represent regional manufacturing operations in global forums and meetings.Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
Proven expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (certification preferred), and other operational excellence tools.
Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
Previous experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing and multinational organizations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities to influence cross-functional teams.
Experience in working within a multi-site, cross-cultural environment.
