Responsibilities:Provides market and competitive insights through presentations and reports to the Executive Leadership Team and various internal management teams to allow effective strategic and tactical decision-making and implementation.
Collaborating with Government, stakeholders, and internal departments to consolidate the market and competitive intelligence component of strategic planning and proactively making recommendations to management concerning key intelligence items that require further consideration.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of data sources, evaluates their credibility and potential utility, and leverages them across the company where appropriate.
This includes but is not limited to, CRM data, ICCA & UIA data, IJBEL, and marketing insights such as information from websites, social media, campaigns, etc.
Develops and maintains relationships with key internal departments and Government, particularly MTCP, to identify emerging needs and business challenges.
Works with internal units to enhance their use of strategic analysis and market and competitor intelligence—mainly through the Portal or dashboard—to maintain appropriate communication channels.
Collaborates internally to ensure intelligence is shared with appropriate groups and individuals.
Maintains an in-depth knowledge of designated markets and trends through reading and studying reports, market research, data manipulation and financial modelling and analysis.
Launch the awareness of Market Intelligence for both internal and BE stockholders.
Appointment and partnership with subject matter experts to ensure the execution of the events.
Maintains constant coverage of industry-related news, trends, and developments and disseminates insights when appropriate to internal stakeholders.
Address the data requirements while working with CRM to capture relevant data.
Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Market Intelligence operations, data management, data collection, data conversion, reporting, project execution, etc.
To oversee external research management services by external contractors and suppliers.
What are we looking for?Degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, Data Analysis or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 6 years of working experience in Business, Tourism, Events Management, Data management, Data analysis or Information Technology as a preference.
Experience in research projects will be an added advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Computer literate (Microsoft Office) and business presentation skills.
Excellent communication or people skills.
Capacity and organisational ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse and multi-tasked environment.
