Position: Maternity Cover for Receptionist
We are seeking to hire a Maternity Cover for Receptionist with experience in an international school for commencement in January 2024.
Purpose of Role
To lead learning through a supportive and trusting environment within the department. Innovation and creativity are developed at every level by encouraging collaboration, reflection, effective time management, and communication. This in turn will allow positive progression of both the team and the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
Answer and redirect incoming calls with care and in an efficient manner.
Receive and direct all enquiries in a pleasant and courteous manner.
Receive and relay telephone, email, fax, and other messages promptly to internal stakeholders.
Deal with enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone, email, or other media.
Attend to queries from parents, teachers, students, and staff and ensure that their query is redirected and an answer is given.
Assist in always keeping the main lobby/reception area clean and tidy, creating a positive image for visitors.
Fulfill, where possible, all reasonable requests from visitors to ensure their comfort, satisfaction, and safety.
Assist in the booking and coordination of meetings using the meeting room at the admissions/marketing area.
Be resourceful regarding school programmes and transmit information appropriately with administrators, teachers, and students through emails, phone calls, or any approved channels, and respond to general questions.
Carry out any other duties as assigned by the head of parents' services from time to time.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
1. Candidates must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's in communication, business or its equivalent.
2. Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.
3. Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Person Specification
• Patient, responsible, and passionate about teaching.
• Friendly and loving towards children.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people for whom they are responsible with whom they come into contact.
• Ability to commence employment in January 2024.
