Mechanical Design Engineer

Position: Mechanical Engineer(Bus Design) Responsibilities: 1. Produce and control accurate bills of material on theSage MRP system.
2. Maintain drawing historyrecords and document all information throughout the planningprocess.
3. Liaise with production to ensurevehicles are built to the correct specifications.
4. Source new materials and technology as required andmaintain supplier records.
5. Develop productdesigns that meet customer specifications using Creo models andassemblies.
6. Create build drawings, workshopprocedures, and engineering reports in English.
7. Collaborate with production and engineering teams toensure contracts are completed on time.
8.Support vehicle development builds and record modifications andimprovements.
Requirements: 1. Education: - BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering ora related field, OR
- HND in Engineering with3+ years of relevant experience, OR
- 5+ yearsof recent relevant experience in the bus industry.
2. Experience: - Minimum 2 years in a relevant engineeringenvironment.
- Experience in commercial vehicleor zero-emission vehicle design is a plus.
3.Skills: - Strongproblem-solving abilities, communication skills, and computerliteracy.
- Proficiency in 3D & 2D CAD(especially Creo), with PDM experience.
-Ability to write concise engineering reports in English.
Desirable: - MEng/MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
-Experience in bus body/chassis design and automotivesystems.
- Leadership skills and experience inzero-emission vehicle design.
