Join our client's team as a Mechanical Engineer, responsible for the management of mechanical equipment (static and rotating) in a large-scale Air Separation plant producing gaseous and liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon. Ensure high reliability and efficiency by implementing maintenance strategies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and uphold reliability and maintenance strategies to achieve KPI targets.
Lead and coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
Optimize resource allocation for routine and major maintenance tasks.
Troubleshoot equipment failures, recommend solutions, and share lessons learned.
Conduct root cause investigations for significant reliability issues.
Job Scope:
Equipment Maintenance and Reliability Management:
Champion a safe work culture and ensure adherence to safety protocols, including working at heights and confined spaces.
Oversee maintenance and overhauls for compressors, pumps, expander turbines, pressure vessels, refrigeration systems, safety devices, and other mechanical equipment.
Utilize CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) for planning, executing, and closing work orders.
Collaborate with contractors and stakeholders to investigate and troubleshoot equipment performance issues.
Apply fundamental knowledge in thermodynamics, vibration, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
Manage workshop tools and ensure proper maintenance and safety.
Participate in daily coordination meetings to ensure timely and safe maintenance activities.
Prepare and review technical documents and maintenance procedures; provide technical training to staff.
Review and update spare parts inventory and strategies.
Propose budgetary plans for OPEX and CAPEX projects and yearly budget planning.
Risk Management and Plant Reliability Improvement:
Promote proactive and preventive maintenance strategies to reduce corrective maintenance.
Identify failure modes and recommend mitigation actions.
Introduce new technologies for early failure detection and resolution.
Investigate major downtime events and implement lessons learned.
Manage corrective actions to align with Group standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in instrumentation and controls within industrial gas, petrochemical, or oleochemical sectors.
Hands-on experience in big air compressor (turbo, screw or piston type) overhaul and maintenance.
Knowledge of machine vibration analysis, lube oil analysis, and unfired pressure vessel inspection.
Familiarity with DOSH requirements and API, ASME standards for static and rotating equipment.
Experience with ASU operations and SAP system maintenance module is an advantage.
Ability to communicate in Chinese to communicate with team based in China.#J-18808-Ljbffr
