This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Assistant in the Emergency Department at UCSI Hospital, Port Dickson.
The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the Emergency Department by performing clinical and administrative duties, ensuring efficient patient care delivery, and maintaining accurate medical documentation in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist emergency physicians and nurses with triage, patient assessments, and procedures.
Perform basic clinical tasks such as vital sign monitoring, wound care, and IV cannulation under supervision.
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary equipment.
Accurately document patient information, treatments, and procedures in medical records.
Provide administrative support, including patient registration, data entry, and medical record management.
Assist with emergency room workflow, ensuring timely communication and coordination with the medical team.
Maintain proficiency in medical terminology and emergency protocols.QualificationsCertification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent in a healthcare-related field.
Experience in emergency medicine or a fast-paced healthcare setting is an advantage.
Proficiency in medical assisting and patient care, particularly in emergency situations.
Knowledge of medical office procedures and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and the medical team.
