Job Title: Medical Sales Manager – Interventional Cardiology
Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced medical sales manager with expertise in interventional cardiology products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong network with cardiologists, a proven track record in sales of medical devices related to cath labs, and a comprehensive understanding of cardiology and vascular care.
This role involves overseeing the promotion, sales, and support of products such as angioplasty balloons, stents, catheters, and other cardiology-specific devices, as well as ventilators and patient monitors.
The candidate will also be responsible for managing and mentoring the sales team to ensure the achievement of organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Sales leadership:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities to drive growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with cardiologists, cath labs, ICU departments, and other healthcare stakeholders.
Team management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Set clear goals and KPIs for the sales team and regularly review performance.
- Provide ongoing training and support to enhance the team's skills and product knowledge.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team culture focused on achieving success.
Customer engagement:
- Conduct regular meetings with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to establish and strengthen partnerships.
- Provide product demonstrations and training to healthcare professionals.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain satisfaction and trust.
Market insights:
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and customer needs.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional strategies.
- Navigate and manage government tender processes efficiently.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences, pharmacy, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, MBBS, or a related field.
A business management diploma or degree is an advantage.
Experience: Proven track record in medical sales, particularly in interventional cardiology and cath lab products.
Leadership skills: Experience in managing a sales team with a demonstrated ability to motivate and drive results.
Strong knowledge of cardiology devices and healthcare industry standards.
Excellent network of contacts within hospitals, cath labs, and cardiology departments.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Goal-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as a team leader.
Willingness to travel as required.
