Job Responsibilities:
Software Development & ImplementationLead and manage the development, customization, and deployment of software applications to support company needs.
Oversee software lifecycle management, including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement software solutions that align with business objectives.System Integration & Data ManagementEnsure seamless integration between different systems and applications within the organization.
Oversee data management practices, including data collection, storage, security, and backup to ensure data integrity.
Develop strategies for data integration and consolidation to improve data accessibility and reporting.Database & Application MaintenanceManage databases and applications to ensure stability, performance, and scalability.
Conduct regular audits, updates, and upgrades to keep software systems current and aligned with industry standards.
Troubleshoot software-related issues and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime.Project ManagementPlan, coordinate, and execute software projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation for software development and deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software solutions meet operational requirements.Stakeholder Communication & TrainingServe as a liaison between IT and business departments to understand software requirements and provide regular updates on project status.
Train end-users and internal teams on software functionalities, best practices, and data management protocols.
Provide technical support and guidance to departments using MIS and software solutions.IT Governance & ComplianceEnsure MIS software practices comply with IT governance standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement and enforce policies for data privacy, cybersecurity, and software usage within the organization.
Develop risk management and contingency plans to address software-related vulnerabilities.Stay updated on emerging technologies, software trends, and best practices within the MIS and software domains.
Continuously assess software needs and identify opportunities to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Recommend software upgrades, new tools, and solutions to improve information flow and data accessibility.
Requirements:
Diploma and/or bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in MIS or IT management, with a strong focus on software systems.
Proven expertise in software development, system integration, and data management.
Programming Skills: Proficiency in software development using languages such as Microsoft Visual Studio C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, or others relevant to the role.
Knowledge of software design principles and algorithms is essential.
Good to have: Java.
Reporting Tools: Experience with Microsoft SSRS to design reports.
Good to have: 'R' reporting.
IT Infrastructure: Proficiency in managing and supporting IT systems, including networking, servers, and database management.
Knowledge of system security, scalability, and performance optimization.
Strong knowledge of software lifecycle management, project management methodologies, and data governance practices.
Experience with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise software systems is preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
Experience with IT governance frameworks and compliance standards.
