Technical Manager - Your future position?
As theTechnical Manager (Malaysia & Singapore) , you will lead our Creation, Applications, and Portfolio team, focusing on key business segments including Beverage, Dairy, Confectionery, Bakery, Savoury, Snacks, FNI, and Colours. This role is essential for developing local technical skills and competencies, enhancing category management, and ensuring effective project management within the Innovation Centre. The Technical Manager will inspire creativity and technology while collaborating with key account management teams to effectively meet customer needs. This position reports directly to the Commercial Director for Singapore & Malaysia while being based in Kelana Jaya, Selangor.

Lead the Technical team to ensure efficient project management and achieve a high win rate.
Assign project tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely and quality delivery.
Collaborate closely with the Regional Innovation Team and seek support as needed.
Develop and align the Technical Strategy with the Commercial Strategy, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and capability development.
Guide the creation of innovative new products that support proactive promotions, in collaboration with local and regional marketing teams.
Build a comprehensive, competitive, and dynamic portfolio to meet target market and customer needs.
Foster the development of technical teams through ongoing coaching, promoting a collaborative and top-performing work environment.
Provide regular updates to senior management on all internal and external technical activities.
Represent the technical function in regional meetings and initiatives.
Plan and implement technical training programs to ensure versatile expertise within the team and across segments.
Develop processes for continuous improvement.
Support the commercial team with technical presentations to customers as required.
Cultivate relationships with key customers.
Ensure operational safety and hygiene in laboratories, while prioritizing environmental protection.

Your professional profile includes:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field, including 5 years in a leadership role managing a diverse technical team.
Work experience in the flavours or food & beverage industry. Prior background in food technology is ideal.
Strong technical knowledge and experience with dairy, savoury, and beverage portfolios;
Proven experience in the design and formulation of food and nutraceutical applications.
Additional exposure to production floor processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of fostering innovation and achieve top performance within a large matrix organization.
Able to represent the business to customers and building strong customer relationships.
A proactive approach to continuous learning & upskilling, combined with independence and a mature mindset.
Digital/tech-savvy skills with proficiency in complex systems beyond Excel.
