Key Responsibilities Oversee the setup & maintenance of main office infrastructure, including internet, switching, routing, compute, storage and securityDesign, implement and maintain enterprise-scale network and architectureDesign security patterns for cloud, internal and production networks as well as implement network security initiativesManage the lifecycle of network routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers etc.Ensure network performance is optimal and appropriate security controls are in placeNetwork troubleshooting and fault analysisConfiguration and support of networking between on premise and cloudEngage with both internal & wider development teams to deliver solutionsKeep abreast of new tools and practices and recommend their suitability to ensure the organisation uses the best available technology to improve efficiency.Ensure SLAs are met for all IT systems and servicesIdentify areas of risk and proactively seek solutions to mitigate impacts to service and availability.Evaluate processes to improve productivity and efficiencyProvide technical mentorship across a wide range of teams and culturesBuild and maintain relationships with key partners, customers and vendorsRespond to security incidents and provide incident response services.Be able to work on-call as rostered or after hours Requirements Degree in science or engineering (Network Engineering, Network Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Robotics, or related field)Proven network experience working in cloud and on-prem environment, including design, deploy, support and documentationKnowledge in inter-connectivity between cloud and/or on-prem network best practisesImplement, and maintain network and security solutions for clients.Understand and manage inhouse hosting servers & applications & remote desktop controlConfigure switches, firewall, VPN, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection systems.Monitor & optimize the network's performance, including real-time traffic management, bandwidth analysis & system health checks (assessing RAM, CPU, disk usage).Troubleshoot & resolve issues related to DNS, DHCP, CDN performance, Internet quality, system downtime & other network connectivity issues.Develop & enforce policies for system maintenance, data backup & disaster recovery.Capable of working independently and in a collaborative team environment to tackle problemAbility to lead and mentor peers by providing guidance and supportStrong and analytical problem-solving skillsExcellent communications skills, both written and verbalRelevant vendor certifications will be highly regarded (CompTIA, CommScope, Cisco, Huawei, Fortinet, Sophos, EnGenius, Aruba, VMWare, NGINX, AWS, AlibabaCloud, Microsoft, etc.)
