To create a lasting impression among consumers and improve product sales and market share, the Product Development Executive plans and directs all aspects of an organization's product development policies, objectives, and initiatives.
This role oversees research for new products, product enhancements, and product redesign, ensuring that product development activities align with the goals of the organization.
The executive makes recommendations on the potential and practicality of products in development.
ResponsibilitiesManage and lead the entire product line life cycle from product development to product launch.
Develop new products and ensure quality control of the products.
Lead and direct routine compliance functions related to product development and manufacturing of current products in the R&D Center.
Conduct quality control on raw materials used in products.
Establish, maintain, and update related work instructions, including analysis methods, specifications (recipe, ingredients list, nutritional facts), and documents of all projects and sample statuses on time.
Monitor food safety.
Assist the manager in building brand awareness and establishing brand presence in Malaysia & SEA Market for Pet Food (Dogs & Cats).
Develop and implement processes and methodologies to prioritize and implement new products.
Perform other ad hoc assignments and tasks as requested by management.
QualificationsAcademic or Trade Qualifications:Candidate must at least possess a Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Science & Technology, Veterinary Business Studies, or equivalent.
Work Experience and Skills:
At least 1-2 years of working experience in the related field; fresh graduates are welcome.
A background in food science or veterinary studies will be an advantage.
Customer service-oriented, creative, passionate, and possess good team spirit.
Good analytical and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Able to multi-task, work independently, meet tight deadlines, and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Understanding of the FMCG industry is an advantage.
Good communication and presentation skills to effectively convey brand messages and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Able to work in a pet-friendly environment (Cats & Kittens).
