Responsible and accountable to the Dean/Principal and top Management of University. Responsible to teach, guide and supervise students and new college personnel according to predetermined set of objectives. Responsible to establish close working relationship with staff members of the units and others department staff so that able to create conducive environment and for effective teaching and learning process. The Nursing Lecturer is responsible for providing high-quality education and training to nursing students. The role involves developing and delivering engaging lectures, supervising clinical practice, and mentoring students to ensure they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career in nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Learning: Deliver lectures, seminars, and workshops on nursing topics.Develop and implement curriculum and lesson plans aligned with academic standards.Use innovative teaching methods to engage students and enhance learning outcomes.Clinical supervision for students. Assessment and Evaluation: Design, administer, and grade assessments, including exams, practical skills evaluations, and written assignments.Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance and progress.Clinical Supervision: Supervise and mentor students during clinical placements, ensuring they apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.Collaborate with healthcare facilities to facilitate student placements and ensure compliance with clinical standards.Research and Professional Development: Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication in nursing education or clinical practice.Stay updated on current trends and developments in nursing education and practice.Advising and Support: Provide academic advising and support to students, helping them navigate their educational paths.Address student concerns and provide guidance on academic and professional issues.Collaboration and Community Engagement: Collaborate with faculty members and staff to enhance the nursing program and improve student outcomes.Participate in community outreach and service initiatives related to nursing and health education.Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree in Nursing or a related field (Doctorate preferred).Posses a Post Basic in Nursing ( any specialization)Have an active APC.Experience: Previous teaching experience in nursing or healthcare education preferred.Clinical experience in a nursing specialty area.Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to engage and motivate students.Proficiency in using educational technology and online teaching platforms.
