A multifaceted role that combines office administrative, operational and HR responsibilities that are crucial to ensure smooth daily operations of the Malaysia entity.
Reports directly to the Group Head of Finance in Singapore.
A day in the life:
HR management:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
Responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of HR functions (inclusive of talent acquisition, talent development, onboarding and offboarding, compensation and benefits, performance management, payroll & HR systems, training and development, employee engagement/relations, employment law & compliance, etc) and provision of all HR operational activities.
Provide advice and counsel to Group Management on HR queries, and employee relation matters, including disciplinary/grievances handling.
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
Nurture a positive working environment.
Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
Be the local advisory on HR operational issues, ensuring legal compliance throughout human resources management.
Undertake any other ad-hoc duties and additional responsibility as instructed by the immediate superior.
Office Management:
Oversees day-to-day operations, including office administrative maintenance.
Manage office budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
Provide administrative support to the Group Head Office.
Manage relationships with office vendors.
Ensure compliance with all relevant local laws and regulations.
Manage administrative function to ensure smooth operation of the company's operations.
What you need:
Degree in Human Resource or equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience as HR manager or HR Business Partner/Advisor, with office and operational management.
Knowledge and experience in HRIS payroll system.
People oriented, with strong communications skills.
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
Proactive and can work independently.
Good ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills.
