Officer - Health, Safety & Environment (Non-Exec)
Job Purpose:
To assist in the compliance, enforcement and development of health safety and environment activities of the organization as stipulated in Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994; under the direction of the Senior Executive, HSE.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide general support and assistance to the Senior Executive, HSE.
Assist in ensuring occupational safety management effectiveness in line with policies, procedures, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and update safe operating procedures, together with any necessary risk assessments for project work.
Maintain adequate health and safety records (such as HIRARC, PTW, PPE issuance form, and monthly manhour report).
Identify and ensure provision of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for SATSSB staff.
Maintain the overall process of annual registered machinery inspection in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.
Monitor safety facilities such as first aid boxes and fire equipment to ensure they are well maintained.
Assist in accident reporting and investigation procedures to ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.
Prepare and submit the HSE monthly reports to management.
Assist internal and external audits on HSE matters.
Coordinate the Emergency Response (ERT) team in conducting fire drill evacuation annually.
Assist in managing scheduled waste management in compliance with the Environmental Quality Act 1974.
Conduct HSE induction, awareness training, and contractor safety briefing.
Review and approve the permit to work (PTW) for SATSSB's contractors.
