MiCare HealthTech Holdings ("MiCare"), a leading regional managed care organization and healthtech player, is looking for a Medical Support Manager to join our team which will act as Advisor/Consultant providing medical input and advice on cases relating to operations, medical audit and service provider team.
You are experienced in professional interactions with healthcare organizations such as pharmaceutical multinationals, healthcare providers, and payors/insurers, and you will promote business growth and build trust with internal/external stakeholders of the company.
What You Will Be Accountable For
To ensure consistency in all medical claim cases, business integrity is upheld and due diligence is met on any related regulatory requirement.
To assist in dealing with and resolving complex medical claim cases, sharing views and recommendations to the best of medical knowledge and expertise.
To provide assessment review and to improve quality justification of claims in order to meet expectations on operational processes.
To plan and conduct training to improve staff medical knowledge and competency with case studies relating to diagnosis, 13th Schedule.
Provide support to the operation team, ensure adherence to and update when necessary the procedural steps to meet the standards required for the medical claims assessment.
Provide medical advice on claims cases, responsible for queries and correspondence with hospitals and doctors, review and resolve any dispute or challenges related to charges and practices.
To establish guides and initiatives related to cost containment measures across teams within operations, assisting the team in decision-making.
To ensure continuous learning and upgrade of knowledge needed to support the daily operation through coaching, guides, and reference cases.
To ensure compliance with local and group policies and regulatory requirements.
To participate in any other tasks and duties as assigned by the superior.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 3 years' experience as medical advisor/consultant.
Must have a medical degree, preferably with valid APC.
Experience as Occupational Health Doctor is an added advantage.
Excellent analytical, written/verbal communication, presentation, influential, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Able to work independently and under pressure and meet milestones within time, cost, and quality constraints.
Solid problem-solving skills, ability to coach team members to analyze complex situations, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate, and discuss the issues effectively with management to reach appropriate conclusions.
Ability to adapt to changes quickly and multi-task.
Competent with MS Office Applications.
Good command of both verbal and written English.
This position will be based inBukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.
