Operability Lead - Kuala Lumpur - SBM OffshoreJob Title:OPERABILITY LEAD ENGINEER
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operability Lead Engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the technical operability and maintainability of our offshore floating facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the Internal Client for technical acceptance of the Project's delivery scope.
Supervise, coordinate, and ensure quality performance of SBM OPERATIONS Discipline Superintendents.
Coordinate operability and maintainability input into design, construction, and completion stages of EPC(I) projects.
Maintain quality and consistency in refurbishment, conversion, construction, and commissioning of EPC(I) projects.
Close out the SBM OPERATIONS Comments Register (OCR).
Ensure Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) of designs.
Verify engineering, construction, and commissioning works comply with SBM GTS and quality standards.
Participate in project design, technical safety, and vendor reviews.
Develop and review Operations plan in EDMS document review cycles.
Closely monitor CMMS development and Spare Parts progress.
Promote minimum life cycle costing approach during proposal, design, construction, and commissioning.
Verify mechanical completion of critical systems.
Facilitate efficient technical hand-over between Project and SBM OPERATIONS.
Assist with final commissioning and safe start-up of units.
Write and issue progress reports.
Requirements:
University degree, BSc or MSc in relevant engineering field (Process, Marine, Mechanical, etc.).
Minimum 5-10 years' experience in oil and gas industry.
Preferable experience in operations of FPSOs or good understanding of FPSO operations.
Able to travel internationally.
Ability to work independently and prioritize situations.
High level of safety awareness and commitment to a team culture.
