The Operations Manager will manage all production activities, ensuring smooth and efficient manufacturing processes, optimizing operations to achieve cost efficiency, uphold quality standards, and ensure timely product delivery.
Leadership and Management:
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the operations team, including production managers, engineers, supervisors, and line workers
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the plant.Operation Oversight:
Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring production schedules are met and products are delivered on time, smooth execution of engineering projects, pro-duction planning, QC inspection process etc
Monitor the whole operation (ie, manufacturing, engineering, production planning, QC etc) metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with the planning and logistics departments to ensure smooth workflow and inventory management.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
Implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures.
Work with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement pre-ventive measures.Process Improvement:
Analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for cost reduction.
Implement lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodolo-gies.
Lead initiatives to reduce waste, improve productivity, and enhance overall operational efficiency.Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Promote a safe working environment and lead safety training programs.
Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.Budget and Cost Management:
Develop and manage the operations budget, including labor, materials, and overhead costs etc.
Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
Prepare regular financial and operational reports for senior management.Team Development:
Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing operations team.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments.

Approve expenditures related to production, maintenance, and operational improvements.
Hire, train, and terminate staff as necessary.
Approve promotions and salary adjustments for operational staff.
Set and approve production schedules and targets
Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with industry standards, approve safety training programs and initiatives.
Lead the response to operational emergencies and disruptions and authorize contingency plans and corrective actions.
Initiate and authorize process improvement projects.
Select and negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors, authorize purchase orders and manage supplier performance.
Authorize changes in production processes and methods to improve efficiency and quality.REQUIREMENTS / SKILLSET:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration or other related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the equipment fabrication industry.
Strategic thinker with a strong background in equipment fabrication, production manage-ment, and process improvement.
Proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles and other process im-provement methodologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using ERP systems and other manufacturing software.
Preferably with Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing.
Experience with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
