The key responsibilities include:

Security Risk Assessment & Management:Conducting risk assessments of operational processes to identify potential security threats.
Developing and implementing strategies to mitigate those risks, ensuring the security of goods, vehicles, warehouses, and personnel.
2.
Monitoring Security Systems:Overseeing the operation of security systems, including CCTV, alarms, access control systems, and monitoring of transport routes.
Ensuring that security measures are adhered to and operational in all facilities and warehouses.
Responding to security incidents, including theft, fraud, or unauthorized access.
Investigating incidents, coordinating with relevant authorities (e.g., police, customs), and ensuring a proper resolution.
3.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence:Ensuring that security operations comply with national and international regulations related to logistics, such as customs security, supply chain security (e.g., C-TPAT), and data protection laws.
Ensuring adherence to company policies and industry best practices.
4.
Security Training and Awareness:Conducting training sessions for staff on security protocols, emergency procedures, and awareness.
Promoting a culture of security awareness across the company.
5.
Collaboration with Other Teams:Working closely with other departments such as IT, safety, and logistics to ensure integrated security solutions.
Coordinating with third-party security contractors or service providers, especially in areas like transportation or facility security.
6.
Reporting and Documentation:Preparing regular reports on security performance, incidents, and compliance status.
Documenting security procedures and ensuring they are up-to-date.
7.
Coordination of Security Projects:Managing or supporting security-related projects or initiatives aimed at improving operational security within the company.
8.
Security Audits:Conducting regular security audits to assess vulnerabilities and ensure that the company's security policies are being followed.
