Managing documentation for imports, exports, and regulatory compliance.
Safety & Compliance: Ensuring the warehouse adheres to safety standards, especially related to hazardous materials.
Implementing emergency response procedures for chemical spills or other incidents.
Staying updated on regulations governing chemical storage and handling.
Operations Oversight: Supervising warehouse staff and coordinating day-to-day operations.
Monitoring productivity and efficiency of warehouse processes.
Streamlining operations to reduce costs and increase safety and performance.
Quality Control: Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments for quality and compliance with specifications.
Ensuring proper labeling and packaging of chemicals.
Managing batch tracking and maintaining records for quality assurance purposes.
Equipment & Maintenance: Ensuring proper maintenance of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, chemical storage tanks, etc.
Coordinating repairs or replacements of equipment as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications: Experience in Warehouse or Operations Management: Especially in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Hazardous Materials Handling: Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and regulations like OSHA or REACH.
Logistics and Supply Chain Management Skills.
