The Opportunity and the RoleWe are currently expanding our retail outlets all over Klang Valley where we serve walk-in customers who come and purchase our second-hand goods. In this role, you'll be assisting our Head of Growth in day-to-day operational administrative tasks and be responsible for sourcing retail staff to ensure operational success of each retail outlet.
ResponsibilitiesManpower Sourcing and Scheduling
Hiring permanent retail staff; reaching out to shortlisted candidates, conducting pre-screenings, setting up interviews, sending offer letters, and closing deals with finalized candidates.
Sourcing candidates through offline and online channels to maintain a healthy pipeline of candidates for both permanent and part-time staff.
Oversee staff scheduling and leave tracking, ensuring retail outlets are always supervised and walk-in customers are managed.
Onboarding and Retail Operations Training
Ensure retail staff, especially newly hired and part-timers, follow standard operating procedures for retail outlet operations.
Ensure retail staff are equipped and knowledgeable with devices and software used for tracking inventory and sales.
Ensure retail staff are onboarded onto the correct internal communication channels.
Report to management any improvements required for retail operations.
Operations Administration
Research and source new outlet locations.
Assist in new retail outlet setup, including negotiating contracts, preparing floor plans, renovations, and utilities setup.
Ensure monthly statutory payments are made for each outlet and keep a ledger of all payments.
Liaise with landlords, agents, and contractors for any changes and repairs made to the outlets.
Remain on budget by always seeking the best prices for supplies and services for the setup or upkeep of each retail outlet.
Foster good working relationships with retail supervisors and the warehouse team.
RequirementsAttention to detail to oversee and make improvements to retail operations efficiencies and productivity.
Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact and collaborate with retail staff and management.
Project management skills to keep track of all tasks provided, ensuring the team is on track.
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to help overcome daily operational challenges.
Proficiency in speaking and writing in English and Malay is mandatory.
Tech savvy – familiar with Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
Own a vehicle – you'll be expected to travel around each outlet to keep tabs on the operations in each.
