As we start our operations in Penang, we are seeking a dynamic and experiencedOperations Managerto lead and bring the plant online.
Position Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and experiencedOperations Managerto oversee and streamline day-to-day operations at our manufacturing facility in Penang.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving efficiency, managing production teams, ensuring quality control, and meeting production deadlines.
The Operations Manager will play a key role in enhancing productivity, improving operational processes, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performance team, ensuring staff is well-trained and equipped to meet company objectives.
Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
Ensure production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met while adhering to safety regulations and compliance requirements.
Generate key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
Collaborate with other departments, including quality control, engineering, and procurement, to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery.
Address and resolve operational challenges, including any production delays or quality issues.
Ensure that all MIDA, DOSH, and other statutory regulations are fulfilled, along with LMW regulations once we fulfill the license requirements.
Prepare and manage budgets, track expenses, and implement cost control measures to ensure profitability.
Maintain effective communication with Company Directors regarding operational performance, risks, and improvement strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within the electronics or contract manufacturing industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, manage, and develop teams.
In-depth knowledge of production processes, lean manufacturing principles, and quality control standards.
Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and ability, noting that we are willing to negotiate with the successful candidate and pay above the medium salary for this position.#J-18808-Ljbffr
