Operations Supervisor (Currency Reconciliation) | Jab. Mata Wang (Kuching)ROLE PURPOSE
Operations Supervisor (Currency Reconciliation) is responsible for performing currency reconciliation processing activities, managing the supply of consumable inventory, and investigating and rectifying currency processing-related incidents to ensure efficiency, integrity, and effectiveness of currency processing.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Effective Execution of the Bank's Mandates:
Currency Reconciliation: Perform daily reconciliation to ensure accuracy of currency processing activity during premature, sampling, mid, and end-of-day balancing in accordance with the established standard operating procedures. Perform audit checks on currency processing activities as and when required.
Compliance and Governance: Highlight operational issues and non-compliance cases affecting currency processing. Identify emerging risks and mitigation plans. Keep abreast with the latest developments affecting currency processing.
Procurement and Inventory of Spare Parts: Collaborate with the Centralised Procurement Department for the procurement of consumable items and machine spare parts required for processing. Liaise with suppliers for deliverables of procurement items.
Reporting: Prepare incident reports related to currency processing activities.
Operational Efficiency and Effectiveness:
Business Process Improvements and Other Tasks: Prepare data, material, and ensure completeness of the documentation for OA's periodic review. Identify and recommend improvements to the current work processes, standard operating procedures, and guidelines to improve efficiency, productivity, and sustainability of currency processing. Perform relief functions and undertake other tasks as and when required.
Project/Initiative: Participate in the department's projects/initiatives as agreed by the supervisor.
Staff Development: Undertake continuous self-learning and development initiatives to build the required competencies to discharge duties effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS
Academic Qualifications: Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
Experience: Relevant working experience in inventory management, currency operation, process, and people management. Knowledgeable in Banking and Finance.
TECHNICAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of currency management and operation
Handling/maintaining cash processing machines
Basic technology proficiency
Knowledge of cash processing procedures

Quality Control
Good in Microsoft Word and Excel
