Overview:Responsible for supervising the production shift of the overall OSBL production ensuring a safe and reliable operations of Utilities& IETS (Industrial Effluent Treatment System) systems, include but not limited to cooling water system, compressed air and nitrogen system, fire water system, waste water/effluent treatment system, Demineralized Water & Boiler feedwater system, initial rainwater and accidental rainwater lifting system, torch, natural gas pressure regulating system, etc- Responsible in overseeing the safe and efficient operation of OSBL Production units (Utilities, and IETS - Industrial Effluent Treatment System) during assigned shifts.- Lead a team of operators and technicians, ensuring compliance with operational procedures, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.- This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.**Responsibilities**:Direct Reports:o2 Assistant PTLo5 Operators (DCS, Field Operators)- Shift Management: Supervise OSBL operations during assigned shifts, including startup, shutdown, and normal operation of process units. Monitor process parameters, equipment performance, and operating conditions to ensure safe and efficient operation.- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of operators and technicians, providing guidance, coaching, and support as needed. Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance to ensure that operational objectives are met.- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies during all OSBL operations. Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety inspections to promote a culture of safety among shift personnel.- Emergency Response: Coordinate emergency response activities, including alarms, incidents, and process upsets, in accordance with established procedures. Take prompt and decisive action to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of personnel and the environment.- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize process efficiency, improve product quality, and reduce operating costs during shift operations. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement process improvements and reliability enhancements.- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for shift personnel to enhance technical skills, job proficiency, and safety awareness. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth within the shift team.- Communication: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including other shift supervisors, operations management, maintenance personnel, and support staff. Provide updates on shift activities, issues, and performance metrics to ensure alignment and transparency.- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shift activities, including shift logs, production reports, maintenance work orders, and incident reports. Complete required paperwork and electronic forms in a timely and accurate manner.**Job Requirements**:- Min. Diploma or equivalent; and more than 10 years experience in Utilities & IETS within refinery/petrochemical/oleochemical or related industry; including proven experience more than 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role; OR min. SPM/SKM with 15 years experience with more than 15 years experience in the same context.- Minium Steam Driver/Boilerman Grade 1; Steam Engineer Grade 2 (or 1) would be an added advantage.- Strong understanding of production processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.- Strong understanding of Utilities, IETS in refinery/petrochemical/oleochemicals processes, equipment, and safety protocols.- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.- Knowledge of process control systems, instrumentation, and troubleshooting techniques.- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.- Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and make decisions under pressure.- Leadership qualities such as integrity, resilience, and adaptability.**Salary**: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month**Benefits**:- Free parking- Health insurance- Maternity leave- Meal allowance- Opportunities for promotion- Professional developmentSchedule:- Day shift- Rotational shiftSupplemental pay types:- Overtime pay- Performance bonusExpected Start Date: 06/01/2024
