Whom We Are Looking For:
Think Academy U.S. is looking forPart-timeMath Teachers. Teachers are expected to understand math concepts, prepare classes based on Think Academy's curriculum, deliver engaging and age-appropriate math lessons, explain concepts, demonstrate problem-solving techniques, and use various teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. Teaching Language is English.
What You Will Do:
Teach mathematics virtually through the Think Academy Teaching Platform.
Actively engage and manage an online classroom of up to 18 students.
Prepare and deliver lessons using Think Academy's curriculum and teaching guidance.
Grade homework and provide other essential teaching-related services.
Communicate effectively with students and parents, offering timely and personalized feedback.
Participate in other related teaching activities organized by the company, including but not limited to diagnostic assessments for new students.
Typically work 20-30 hours per week (depending on the number of classes you take), primarily during weekends or weekday mornings.
How You Can Be Qualified:
Bachelor's degree or above; all majors are welcome; education or STEM-related majors are preferred.
You are still eligible to apply if you are pursuing or in progress of obtaining a Bachelor's degree.
Looking for long-term basis, not for short-term part-timers.
Prior math teaching experience is not required, but is a plus; elementary math competition learning or teaching experience is also a plus.
Proficiency in Chinese (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) is a plus.
Super passionate about teaching and the education industry, highly responsible, and love to get along with kids; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Available and willing to work mornings on weekdays and weekends; you will need to attend training sessions in person on weekends in the first 6 months (the office is located near Atria Mall).
For the first six months, typical working hours are from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. After the initial period, classes are usually scheduled between 12:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Weekly work hours range from 20 to 30 hours.
Pay Range:
Pay Structure:Teaching Fee * Number of Classes + Student Retention Bonus (Targeted at 15% of Teaching Fee)
Teaching Fee:60 MYR/hr; teachers will be assigned roughly 3 - 7 classes per week.
