**Company Background**We are representing our client; one of the leading pastries and bakeries in Perak. Currently with 14 bakeries outlet in Perak, along with 2 hype and buzzing pastries cafés in Selangor.Work Location: HQ in Ipoh, Perak (Central Kitchen)**Main Responsibilities**:- Innovate and create new bakery recipes that align with market trends and company objectives.- Ensure bakery products meet quality and regulatory standards through thorough testing and feedback collection.- Stay informed on industry trends and consumer preferences to identify new product opportunities.- Source high-quality ingredients and collaborate with suppliers to maintain consistency and quality.- Align R&D efforts with business goals by working closely with production, marketing, and sales teams.- Keep detailed records and prepare reports to communicate R&D progress and findings.- Ensure all products comply with food safety standards and regulatory requirements**Requirements**:- Minimum 3 to 5 years of related working experience.- Possess a culinary degree or equivalent certification in bakery or pastry arts, food science, or a related field.- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Bakery Chef, or R&D Chef in the food industry, with a focus on bakery products.- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functionality, and recipe formulation.- Creativity, innovation, and passion for experimenting with flavors, textures, and presentations.- Analytical skills for evaluating product quality, conducting sensory analysis, and interpreting feedback.- Project management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate R&D projects.- Communication, collaboration, and presentation skills for working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.- Attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to food safety and quality standards.- Familiarity with food regulations, labeling requirements, and industry best practices in bakery R&D.
