Payroll Assistant

Details of the offer

Creates and updates records and databases with personnel, financial and other data.
Ensures all transactional processes are executed accurately in a timely manner, compliance with statutory requirements, meeting contribution or payment timeline, and updating staff data in HRIS.
Provides a responsive, accurate client advisory service on payroll matters, resolves difficult enquiries, and assists in identifying payroll errors and implementing corrective action where required to ensure employee payments are processed accurately and database integrity is maintained.
Maintains good working relationships and practices open communication with colleagues and staff of other departments.
Undertakes any other ad-hoc assignments as assigned from time to time by the superior or Management.
What we're looking for
At least 2 years of experience in a payroll processing role, preferably in the Accounting industry.
Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and computational skills.
Good understanding of payroll processing, taxation, and related regulations.
Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Sound knowledge of the Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, Labour laws, and prevailing HR practices and legislation in Malaysia.
