PhD Candidate in Martian Concrete Research – Civil & Structural Engineering
Summary of the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
This role focuses on the endurance assessment of Martian concrete, a critical material for sustainable construction on Mars.
The candidate will investigate the fatigue characteristics of Martian concrete under simulated Martian conditions, contributing to innovative construction materials for future human settlements on the Red Planet.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct experimental research on Martian concrete, including fatigue testing and material characterization.
Analyze the effects of environmental factors on Martian concrete performance.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and engineers.
Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at prestigious conferences.
