Responsibilities:Production Scheduling:Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet demand forecasts and customer orders.
Coordinate with the production team to ensure schedules are feasible and adjust as necessary for changes in demand or production capacity.Inventory Management:Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering of materials to prevent production delays.Resource Allocation:Allocate labor, equipment, and materials effectively to maximize production efficiency.
Identify and address bottlenecks or constraints in the production process.Data Analysis and Reporting:Analyze production data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Prepare regular reports on production performance, including output, efficiency, and waste.Process Improvement:Implement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs.
Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure products meet quality standards.Cross-functional Coordination:Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Marketing, Quality Assurance, and Logistics, to ensure seamless operations and communication.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to align production plans with business objectives.Compliance and Safety:Ensure all production activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the production team.Team Leadership:Provide leadership and guidance to junior planners and production staff.
Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in production management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning, preferably in the food or bakery manufacturing industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., ERP systems).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
Working Conditions:The role is primarily based in the factory, with some office-based work.
May require occasional weekend or evening work to meet production deadlines.
