Key Responsibilities: Material Planning: Develop and maintain material requirements plans (MRP) to ensure optimal inventory levels to meet production needs without excess or shortages.Forecasting & Demand Planning: Collaborate with the production team to forecast demand for components and materials, considering lead times, vendor capacity, and seasonal fluctuations.Supplier Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials, managing order releases, purchase requisitions, and inventory control.Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of materials and component inventories, implementing effective control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.Production Scheduling: Coordinate with production and operations teams to align material availability with production schedules, minimizing downtime and ensuring a smooth production flow.Cost Management: Monitor and analyze material costs, negotiating with suppliers to achieve the best pricing while maintaining quality standards.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the material planning process, streamline supply chain operations, and contribute to cost savings initiatives.Reporting: Prepare and present reports on inventory levels, material usage, and supplier performance, keeping management informed of material flow and potential bottlenecks.Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of experience as a Material Planner, preferably within the PCBA or electronics manufacturing environment.Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage supplier relationships effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
