Job Description
Oversee Production Operations: Manage all daily operations specific to plastic manufacturing, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety in production processes like extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, or pelletizing.
Responsibilities:
Ensure Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality standards, addressing defects and ensuring plastic products meet industry and client specifications.
Optimize Production Efficiency: Analyze and improve production processes to reduce cycle times, minimize waste, and increase overall yield, using lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
Compliance and Safety Management: Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards relevant to plastic manufacturing, fostering a safe working environment and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics, focusing on skill-building and meeting operational targets.
Budget and Cost Management: Manage and optimize budgets for materials, labor, and operations; track costs to meet financial objectives, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Equipment and Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure optimal functionality of specialized plastic processing equipment, minimizing downtime and extending equipment lifespan.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive continuous improvement projects, such as automation or energy-saving measures, to keep up with industry innovations and enhance plant competitiveness.
Supply Chain and Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage inventory levels of resins, additives, and other materials, ensuring timely production without excess stock.
