The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals are met, and driving continuous improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
This role leads the manufacturing team, collaborates with other departments, and ensures compliance with safety and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive manufacturing strategies to meet production goals, ensure product quality, and align with business objectives.
Oversee the entire manufacturing process, including new product development, quality control, and cost management.
Lead, manage, and motivate a team of production supervisors, engineers, technicians, and operators.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability across the manufacturing teams to achieve high performance and efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless production operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall manufacturing processes.
Identify areas for improvement based on production metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to track progress toward goals and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external partners to support ongoing manufacturing activities.
Prepare and manage the manufacturing budget, including forecasting, cost analysis, and reporting.
Promote a culture of safety, with the goal of achieving a zero-accident workplace.
Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing.
Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
Experience in managing budgets, forecasting production costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Strong decision-making, team-building, and problem-solving skills.
