Plant Process Safety Engineer

Job description Develop and implement process safety management systems to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Conduct process hazard analyses (PHA) and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and mitigation measures.
Review and update process safety documentation, including operating procedures, safety data sheets, and emergency response plans.
Participate in safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to process safety requirements.
Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams on process safety issues.
Investigate process safety incidents and near misses, and develop corrective and preventive actions.
Develop and deliver process safety training programs for employees.
Stay updated on the latest process safety regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Safety, or a related field.
At least 5 years experience as a Process Safety Engineer in a chemical plant or similar related job.
Strong knowledge of process safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA 1910.119, PSM).
Experience with process hazard analyses (PHA) and layers of protection analysis (LOPA) to identify and mitigate potential process safety hazards.
Develop, implement, and maintain process safety management systems.
Lead process safety reviews, audits, and inspections.
Participate in incident investigations and root cause analyses (RCA).
