Join us, a subsidiary ofWebcon Sdn Bhdas aPlantation Managerfor our expanding palm oil plantation inSri Jaya, Maran, Pahang . This is a strategic leadership role to oversee all plantation operations, including managing existing trees, planting new ones, and ensuring compliance with MSPO standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management
Manage all phases of plantation operations, including:Land development, nursery operations, planting, maintenance, and pest control.
Fertilizer application based on soil and leaf analysis to optimize palm tree productivity.
Strategic pruning to ensure tree health, light penetration, and harvesting efficiency.
Pest control management, including addressing theacacia issueand implementing sustainable methods such as integrated pest management (IPM).
Infrastructure management, including roads, drainage, and buildings.
Oversight of vehicle and machinery maintenance.Develop and implement daily, monthly, and annual work schedules in line with regulatory standards.
Prepare and manage the plantation's annual budget.
Provide daily and monthly progress reports to senior management.
Administrative and Coordination
Monitor budgets and costs to ensure cost-effective operations.
Supervise and guide executives, staff, and contractors on daily operational matters.
Liaise with third-party contractors , suppliers, government agencies, and local communities to ensure smooth coordination and operations.
Coordinate with internal departments (HR, Procurement, Logistics) to support plantation needs and operations.
Training and Compliance
Conduct training on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), MSPO, OSHA, and related standards.
Lead MSPO and OSHA committees as an advisor to ensure compliance.
Ensure adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Meetings and Communication
Lead monthly plantation management meetings, including third-party contractors.
Represent the plantation in top management or Board of Directors meetings as required.
What We're Looking ForMinimum5-7 yearsof experience in plantation management (experience as an Assistant Plantation Manager will also be considered), including establishing new plantations.
Degree inAgriculture, Plantation Management , or a related field is required.
Strong knowledge of:MSPO certification processesand SOP development.
Fertilizer management, pruning cycles, and integrated pest management (IPM), including addressing pest issues such as those associated with acacia trees.Proven expertise in budgeting, operational planning, and infrastructure management.
Experience inliaising with third-party contractorsand ensuring accountability.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
