PLATING TOOLING ENGINEER (FRESH GRADUATES)JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in managing, administrating and supervising a group of subordinates.
Ensure every subordinate abides by the company policies, rules and regulations.
Execute and implement company activities related to Quality Management System, Environmental Management System, Safety & Health Management System, and other company policies.
Analyze, organize, coordinate and delegate jobs to the respective subordinates.
Execute and implement instructions given by the immediate superior.
Assist in managing and administrating subordinates' career development.
Plan, organize, coordinate and delegate jobs to the respective subordinates.
Handle confidential matters, business affairs, and trade secrets of the company.
SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for overall performance of the production in meeting defined targets, in line with the department's goals and objectives.
Assist in managing production activities to achieve optimum productivity, cost, quality, safety, inventory, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Implement actions to improve quality, yield, process stability, and production section via process simplification and optimization.
Read and interpret technical drawings; confer with engineers or other relevant parties to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
Manage machinist(s) to meet tool maintenance/modification schedules.
Run the Equipment/Engineering/Tooling section.
Oversee all tooling modifications and ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
Maintain and troubleshoot in-house tooling systems.
Coordinate and ensure proper set-up, operation, and implement process changes as necessary.
Modify to improve performance/efficiency of stamping, plating, backend, and assembly tools.
Work closely with the manufacturing team from design stage to mass production to maintain quality and scheduling standards.
Design and draft stamping, plating, backend, and assembly tools; conduct research and modify existing tools to improve yield, productivity, and cost.
Supervise operations of all aspects of Tool Room preparation.
Establish and maintain Tool Room operation to ensure good tools issuance to the production floor.
Participate in daily problem solving on the production floor related to stamping, plating, backend, and assembly tools.
Conduct in-depth analysis on tool failures and issue Failure Reports.
Review new products (NPI) and participate in the FAI run with production.
Liaise with In-House tool maker on scheduling and completion of tools; ensure CNC machines are well maintained and safety regulations are adhered to.
Liaise with external Tool vendors regarding outsourcing of stamping, plating, backend, and assembly tools.
Manage projects and meet targets/objectives.
Participate in customer/vendor audits and internal audits.
Lead, coach, and motivate subordinates in their skill/knowledge development; plan and identify training needs for their development.
Execute any other duties assigned by superior.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge in Quality Systems, ISO 9000 or TS16949 or ISO 14001, FMEA, DOE.
Possess strong technical acumen and effective analytical problem-solving skills.
Mature with good leadership and interpersonal skills and capable of leading a team.
A results-oriented person with excellent drive, initiative, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
