The PMC Assistant Manager supports the Project Management Consultant (PMC) in overseeing project operations, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and meet defined objectives. This role involves coordinating project activities, managing communication with stakeholders, analyzing project performance, and assisting in resource allocation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of project management principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
What you'll be doing PMC Assistant Manager Project Coordination: Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate daily project activities and ensure alignment with project goals.Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, and other stakeholders. Prepare and distribute project updates, reports, and presentations.Resource Management: Support resource allocation and scheduling to optimize project delivery. Monitor team performance and provide support to ensure productivity.Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies. Monitor risk factors and report on their status to the PMC.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, status reports, and meeting notes. Assist in preparing reports for management and stakeholders on project performance and milestones.Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and specifications. Conduct regular reviews and audits of project processes.Continuous Improvement: Participate in post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement. Contribute to the development of best practices in project management.PMC Planner Material Planning: Develop and maintain production material plans to ensure adequate inventory levels. To analyse production schedules to determine material requirements and timing.Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to minimize excess or shortages. Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components. Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues related to quality or delivery.Production Scheduling: Work closely with production teams to align material availability with production schedules. Adjust plans as necessary based on changes in production demand or lead times.Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize ERP systems to track material usage and generate reports on inventory status. Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations. Facilitate communication between departments to address material-related issues.Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in material handling. Participate in projects aimed at improving overall production efficiency and material control. What we're looking for Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning and scheduling, preferably in the manufacturing industryStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize production processesProficiency in using production planning and scheduling softwareExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsRelevant tertiary qualifications in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related fieldFamiliarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologiesAbility to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
