The Network and Security Presales Specialist is responsible for supporting the sales team in designing and presenting networking and security solutions to prospective clients. This role involves collaborating with account managers, engineers, and customers to provide tailored solutions that meet customer requirements while ensuring technical feasibility and value proposition.
You will play an important role in:
Technical Consulting & Solution Design:
Understand client needs and requirements to provide customized network and security solutions.
Design, architect, and propose technical solutions that include networking, cybersecurity, firewall, VPN, threat detection, and other security tools.
Develop technical presentations and solution demonstrations.
Create and deliver tailored demonstrations of proposed solutions based on customer needs.
Draft detailed technical proposals, including configurations, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Scope of Work (SOW).
Collaborate with sales teams to qualify customer needs and opportunities.
Conduct technical workshops, demos, and presentations to educate customers.
Act as the technical point of contact for customers during the sales process.
Provide guidance on network and security best practices, and align customer needs with the company's product offerings.
Project Coordination:
Work closely with internal teams (sales, product management, post-sales) to ensure seamless project delivery.
Provide technical handover to the implementation and delivery teams.
Ensure proposed solutions are feasible and can be delivered within the customer's budget and timeframe.
Customer Relationship Management:
Maintain ongoing relationships with key clients to support existing and future projects.
Address any technical concerns or challenges raised by clients during the sales process.
Support proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot projects, ensuring successful implementation.
Market & Product Knowledge:
Stay updated with the latest networking and security trends, technologies, and vendor products.
Attend training sessions and certifications to enhance product knowledge.
Provide feedback to product development teams regarding customer needs and market trends.
Prepare competitive analysis of solutions and services in the market.
To succeed in this role, we will need you to have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5+ years in a technical pre-sales role, preferably in networking or cybersecurity.
Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, Palo Alto, Fortinet NSE) are a plus.
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching) and cybersecurity practices.
Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, DDoS mitigation, and other security technologies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
Ability to manage multiple projects and customer engagements simultaneously.
Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in technical diagramming and proposal tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and technical troubleshooting skills.
Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu.
