About the role
As a pricing analyst, you develop competitive, accurate price proposals for the sales team using pricing models, market intelligence, and additional input from relevant stakeholders.
Scope:This role covers all chocolate and cocoa sites and markets within Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa region.
This role can also be involved in intercompany dealings between Cocoa and Chocolate Division.Key responsibilities include:
Form strong relationships with the sales teams and analyze detailed pricing models.
Create competitive price proposals for the sales team, analyzing historic price and margin levels to drive profitable growth for your business unit.
Present proposals to Sales, guiding them by utilizing market and internal data to validate and justify proposals.
Book sales contracts upon agreement from customers to lock in business.
Take pricing ownership of assigned accounts in an independent and proactive way.
Proactively manage the contracts for your account portfolio in collaboration with Sales and Customer Service.
Utilize different pricing models, including commodity market coverage, cost & margin analysis, and proactive data management.
Develop and manage effective and analytic reporting tools to support the business unit and the organization's needs.
Understand the commodity market fundamentals and gather in-depth knowledge on the chocolate and cocoa manufacturing process to improve the pricing process.
Actively support local, regional & global pricing projects & initiatives.
Travel requirements: Less than 15% of the time.
About You
Fluent in English is a must. Good command of another Asian language is an advantage.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or similar fields.
At least 3 years of experience in a Finance, Commercial or Pricing function.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (lookup, index-match, pivot tables, etc.).
Experience working in a manufacturing environment or with SAP is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
Enthusiastic team member with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing business demands and priorities.
Customer-oriented and capable of strategic and conceptual thinking.
