Primary Account New Business Manager
As a Primary Account New Business Manager, you will drive growth within S&P Global Commodity Insights by identifying and securing new clients in the Agriculture and Metals Markets.
Your efforts as part of the Global New Business team will play a key role in expanding our reach, building our customer base, and delivering value to our customers.
The Team:
The Global New Business team is a team of sales professionals who drive new revenue growth. We work proactively and collaboratively to contact potential new customers to identify their needs and discover how our products and services can add value to them. We work to drive the sale along with our colleagues in the Marketing, Specialist and Research teams to expand our business with new customers who we hope will become long-term customers of S&P Global Commodity Insights.

Responsibilities and Impact:
Proactively outreach to potential new customers – both to a defined list of customer prospects, along with expanding this target list to reach a new customer base.Having discovered the customer's needs (through proactive engagement), you will work within a framework to close the sale directly OR pass the sale to your international colleagues as appropriate.Work collaboratively with various colleagues to nurture sales and to drive customer acquisition.Keep up to date with our expanding customer offerings – allowing you to articulate the value of our products and services to potential customers.Develop your understanding of the industries in which we work in order to fully understand potential customer needs and the value we bring to our customers.Document all client interactions on SFDC (CRM) and feedback relevant information (win or lose) in order to further the continuing success in achieving our goals.Be a great part of the team to both achieve/exceed your individual sales quota/targets as well as the team targets and goals. Look for opportunities for yourself and the team to work smarter and more effectively.Develop and maintain a plan for continued and sustainable delivery of sales goals and personal development.What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
A successful candidate for this role must have excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills to effectively communicate and diagnose client needs and articulate the value of our products and services.A proactive, resilient and enthusiastic approach is needed to maintain the energy required to outreach to prospective new customers and provide them with an excellent customer experience.Previous experience and/or a demonstrable ability for the areas relevant to this role such as consultative/diagnostic sales and/or industry experience/marketing/customer outreach.An enthusiasm to learn and develop in the role. (the markets and our products and services are always evolving)Strong personal integrity and a confident and positive manner.Fluent spoken and written English (other languages may be useful).Ability to work the times suitable for applicable time zones (APAC/EMEA/Americas - tbc).Additional Preferred Qualifications:
2-3+ years experience.A proven ability in sales and/or in the relevant industry (agriculture or metals markets) knowledge is very useful.Experience of working with Salesforce or similar CRM.Experience of working in a matrix organisation – collaborative working is essential in this role.About S&P Global Commodity Insights
