The QMS & BCMS Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS) in line with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives. This role ensures compliance with ISO standards, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance operational resilience and quality assurance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, implement, and maintain the Integrated Management System focusing on Quality Management System & Business Continuity Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 & ISO22301 and other applicable quality standards.
Lead and conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to QMS & BCMS policies and procedures and follow up on corrective actions.
Facilitate management reviews, coordinate audits with external certification bodies, and ensure readiness for external assessments.
Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, providing recommendations for improvement and driving initiatives to reduce non-conformances.
Design and facilitate business continuity plans (BCP), ensuring that they are effective and kept up to date.
Plan, coordinate, and conduct business continuity drills and simulations to evaluate the effectiveness of recovery procedures and improve preparedness.
Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessments to identify critical business functions, potential risks, and necessary recovery strategies.
Liaise with internal stakeholders, such as EHS, IT, facilities, and operations teams, to ensure the integration of business continuity measures into daily operations.
Monitor and report on the progress of quality and business continuity projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Guide IMS & BCMS Coordinator to ensure the system being implemented and compliance.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Education : Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, Business Continuity, or a related field.
Certifications : ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ISO 22301 Lead Auditor, or similar certifications are preferred.
PREFERRED:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Management and/or Business Continuity Management.
Experience with ISO certification audits and external audit coordination.
Familiarity with risk management, incident response, and process improvement techniques.
SKILLS
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and ISO 22301 standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with other problem-solving tools 8D, FMEA, etc.
