The lead buyer shall be the focal person for all T&I projects who required engineered material and tight schedule. Coordinate with different stake holder such as PMT and vendor to deliver items on time. Propose alternative solution if required to meet project needs.**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:Perform the procurement of products and services in support of McDermott business activities in accordance with company's policies, procedures and ethical standards to ensure that:- The material and services requested meet the required standards and specification and are fit for purpose.- Materials and services are purchased from the most competitive supplier based on the criteria of Quality, Delivery and with budget to optimize the asset's profitability.- Materials/Services and supporting documentation are delivered in accordance with the requirement of the vessel schedule.- Review requisitions to verify accuracy- Perform and Issue RFQ to suppliers and secure compliant offers- Liaise with end user or requisitioner, if required to ensure that TBE's are completed on schedule.- Coordinate the supplier clarification process.- Participate in commercial negotiations with supplier and perform CBE.- Place purchase order with selected supplier; provide ongoing purchase order administration including purchase order revisions resolution of discrepancies etc. as required during the life time of the order.- Assist the expediting process, resolve technical and commercial clarifications with suppliers.- Assist Accounts payable to ensure timely approvals of invoices.- Participates in SCM self- audit initiatives by working with the corporate internal audit team and business personnel to understand the controls, determine and assess risks within processes, identify controls and deficiencies and provide recommendations to improve processes under review.- Support reporting and sample collection for internal and external SCM audits.- Works in accordance with corporate policies and statutory obligations. Maintains awareness of the content of the HSE Plan and the actions required in the event of an emergency.**Essential Qualifications and Education**:- Degree of any discipline- 8 years working experience in O&G. SCM experience is mandatory.**Preferred Qualifications and Education**:- Contract understanding.- Communication skills- Excel, Oracle- Able to lead and has experience to lead at least 4 staff.LI-RI1
