We forecast product balances and benchmark refining margins, provide details for national markets around the world as well as guidance on what is an anomaly, and what is a fundamental shift in the market. Energy players, governments, and financial institutions rely on us to better understand market trends, company and economic behavior to adjust their business strategy and policies.- Growth opportunities, both vertically into leadership roles, and horizontally, as S&P Global brings together the deepest intelligence across the widest set of capital-intensive industries and markets**Key Responsibilities**:Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of oil market data from proprietary models and public sources, covering supply, demand, trade, pricing, and downstream value chain elements.Generate original research to assist clients in understanding policies, predicting trends, and identifying opportunities, while also analyzing the impact of regulations, taxation, infrastructure, trade, and motor fuel retail on the downstream oil market.Involved in data mining activities related to energy, maintaining databases, models (which may include long and short-term supply demand balances and regional pricing models).Act as the regional focal point for time-sensitive research tasks and report delivery, coordinating with in-country teams.Conduct topical research to support internal teams and external clients in comprehending policies, foreseeing crucial trends, analyzing the competitive landscape, and identifying opportunities throughout the value chain.Act as a core member of S&P Global's broader Asia oil market research team. Connect with global teams to share knowledge and exchange best practices.**What We're Looking For**:A highly motivated individual who is a good writer, has intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness, and can execute tasks autonomously.A fundamental understanding of the Asian downstream oil industry is strongly preferred.You demonstrate strong numerical and quantitative analysis skills.
