Job PurposeWithin the Subsea Installation department, you will report to the Installation and Construction Manager with the following overview:
Job DescriptionAs a Section Lead you will:
Ensure the workload of the survey team is maintained and monitored throughout the years and project.
Establish manning plan with the I&C manager to anticipate workload throughout the years.
Assess the correct manning and expertise of the department in view of the workload.
Act as technical authority and direct point of contact for queries related to Survey scope within the I&C department.
Liaise closely with the Global Survey Discipline Lead in order to follow strategy established at Group level and share regional workload.
You will support the projects, tenders & studies in order to:
Define the technical specifications associated to the pre-engineering survey (AUV survey / bathymetric and geophysics survey) in accordance with the contract.
Propose and support cost-effective solutions / technologies.
Define the technical specifications associated to the marine operations (positioning and surface navigation, subsea acoustic and inertial positioning, support the installation works, metrologies, dimensional control) in accordance with the contract.
Analyze and assess technical offers of subcontractor when applicable.
Issue procedures relative to positioning of structures, pipelines and umbilicals in relation with the subcontractors, the structure design and installation team.
Report to the project/package manager in terms of cost and timing objectives.
Be involved in the offshore operations (mobilization and survey operation follow up) as required.
Additional DescriptionAs technical referent within the survey and positioning department of your region you will also have to:
Ensure own state of the art competencies in all sector (USV, equipment, metrology, etc) following the Global discipline philosophy.
Contribute to the definition of the discipline strategy by communicating to the Group via seminars and working sessions with peers such as Identifying areas of development.
Provide technical-technological support and risk analysis as required by management within projects and manufacturing, fabrication & installation operations.
Provide technological and engineering solutions in innovative environments and conditions.
Efficiently contribute to the client relations (presentations, meetings, interfaces…).
Ensure excellent HSE & engineering performance through application of Subsea engineering rules, processes & standards to design engineering activities within project &/or operations.
Support the knowledge development:
Provides guidance and training at local-regional level.
Proposes engineering processes & tools improvements, optimization and possible innovation in relation with the Global discipline philosophy.
Coordinate design activities (including sub-contractors' activities) with responsibility for:
Design basis
Engineering schedules & budgets.
You are meant for this job if:University Master Engineering Diploma specialized in Geophysics or Topography.
You will justify of 10 years minimum experience in survey and positioning activities including subsea construction work projects and especially in: installation and calibration of LBL array, use of USBL, metrology (acoustic, inertial, Lidar, photogrammetry…), pre-lay and pre-engineering survey, as-built survey (OOS). Additionally, great communication skills and team spirit are strongly required for this role.
