PgP5 Plant is Bosch Group's newest expansion in Malaysia, a semiconductor test site in Batu Kawan Penang. With the long-term forecasts for growth of semiconductor component quantities, coupled with the front-end production in Bosch's Dresden facility in Germany, capacity expansion is required for the back-end production, which is the final testing phase of semiconductors and sensors.

The process & equipment engineer's role is to ensure operability of Turning Chamber in the SMI line, to ensure achievement of output targets of the equipment and yield targets of the products, to ensure achievement of unscheduled downtime targets, to ensure cycle time targets of the equipment and products, and to ensure set up of new machines in a timely manner.
Perform maintenance according to maintenance plan on UTC and calibration.
Analyze downtime reasons of the equipment, mechanical, electrical and electronic repairing of the equipment. Release of equipment according to engineering specifications.
Localize failures on measurement boards, PCBs and repair of boards.
Perform mechanical and electrical alignment of the equipment according to supplier specifications.
Autonomously adapt and extend circuit diagrams according to engineering specifications.
Act as the first contact person regarding appointments with equipment suppliers and regarding questions of the equipment suppliers. Monitor due dates and conduct technical discussions with suppliers and engineering.
Develop measures to reduce failures, improve quality and output, and reduce costs together with engineering.
Analyze failures on carriers and their repair. Maintain carriers.
Place into operation of carriers according to specifications.
Align all changes with lead plant engineering.
Hold 8D responsibility and dispose of lots.
Instruct Operators/Technicians in alignment with production management.
Work in production.
Support FMEA and Control Plan.
Ensure spare parts availability.
Execute any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time.
Minimum RequirementsMinimum 3 to 5 years working experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably at least 3 years of maintenance & process experience.
At least a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical or relevant field with semiconductor machine maintenance exposure.
Candidates must be proactive in discussions with the ability to recommend & propose solutions.
Possess basic mechanical, electrical, and electronic skills.
Possess strong communication skills and able to transfer technical knowledge with various operations team members.
Able to organize projects, lead the team to meet the required project plans and schedules that integrate resources, tasks, and timelines.
Able to perform analysis and repairs on PCB & equipment with refrigeration & chamber exposure.
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches on problems & proposals on cost reduction and improvement measures.
Ability to solve problems using Systematic Problem-Solving methodology e.g., Poka Yoke concept.
Ability to lead technical discussions together with equipment suppliers and the engineering team.
Ability to instruct operators on how to fulfill their tasks.
Open to business trips and able to travel to China and Germany for training.#J-18808-Ljbffr
