A Process Engineer for Sustaining Engineering Team is responsible for daily follow-up at the production line related to simulation study, evaluation, rework, FPY & abort rate monitoring, 8D, customer and internal complaints, improvement activities, and standardizing the production line.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage, sustain and improve operational or production relevant processes in assembly cleanroom, covering assembly and End-of-Line testing of modules / valves / actuators / other components, and preparation / treatment of O-rings.
Conduct experiments (DOE).
Support production in the improvement initiative for Yield, Quality, Cycle time, etc.
Standardize assembly process in method and documentation: Work Instructions, checklists.
Establish troubleshooting processes for rework or products know-how.
Verify correct process variables for production (i.e. materials, machine set points, tools, jig fixtures, etc.).
Support NPI for new product feasibility study to develop and establish assembly processes.
Mentor/Coach to enhance assembler skills towards setup/simplify working procedures.
Solve problems of more complexity.
Integrate thorough technical knowledge.
Actively engage and support change management related topics and execution.
Contribute in PFMEA to analyze quality risks and define preventive and detective actions to mitigate them.
Engage in problem-solving activities, implement corrective actions, and effectively communicate those actions to all required personnel.
Conduct training for Production supervisors/leaders/assemblers in the use and applications of various assembly tools and processes.
Develop and maintain assembly process standards and documentation: Work instructions and process flow.
Be the subject matter expert for assembly and test processes, in alignment with the global process engineering team in headquarters.
Support daily tasks as assigned by Management from time to time.
Support cross-functional team initiatives to continuously improve assembly lines cycle time and efficiency to increase yield and productivity.
Minimum Requirements:
5 years of experience in Mechanical Assembly industry (Process Development / Leak Testing / Cleaning / Cleanroom Assembly).
Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing or related field with a strong relevant technical background.
Proficient in English with good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
8 years of experience in the Mechanical Assembly industry (Process Development / Leak Testing / Cleaning / Cleanroom Assembly).
Pro-active, organized, good team player, and customer-oriented.
Strong organization, time management, planning skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills, experienced in leading cross-functional teams.
Organized, self-driven, and result- & customer-oriented.
Experience in vacuum valve industry and equipment manufacturing assembly process.
Experienced in PFMEA (Process Failure Mode Effect and Analysis) and process know-how.
