Process Technologist – Oil Movements, Product Quality and Oil LossResponsibilities:
Provide effective, efficient, and timely technological supportto the site with respect to troubleshooting, optimization, and safe operation.
Monitor the performanceof the area of coverage against approved targets on a day-to-day basis, identifying existing or potential technical problems and responding accordingly to mitigate threats.
Identify and implement specific projectsaimed at improving the safety, reliability, integrity, efficiency, operability, and capacity of oil movement operations.
Lead or participate in incident investigationsand problem-solving activities, providing necessary technical input to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
Serve as the direct interfacebetween HRC PD Technology and Operations/Engineering, facilitating the implementation of plant changes, including best practices.
Participate in PSA studiesand ensure the timely implementation of PSA recommendations.
Take on the role of Technology Department's oil loss focal point, working closely with other relevant technologists and the site oil loss team to systematically improve HRC's oil loss performance and ensure it remains within target levels.
Coach and mentor graduate and junior technologists, supporting their activities to build competencies and reviewing their deliverables for completeness and technical quality.
Lead the effective execution and assurance of the Ensure Quality Product (EQP) site work process:Embed HRC product quality policies and standards into site work processes and the management system.
Proactively identify and implement improvements to the site's product quality management systems and procedures.
Drive product quality (PQ) investigations, taking corrective action for PQ incidents that occur within the site, and embed learnings into the organization.
Ensure critical review and improvement of local PQ practices, specifically driving gap closure in alignment with the Ensure Quality Product Standard HMS-2010001-ST.
Validate the effectiveness of key product release work processes, practices, procedures, and policies (product release protocol).
Ensure that the product quality sample/testing schedule becomes a controlled document, requiring a Management of Change (MOC) process before implementing any improvements. This applies to both finished products and intermediate streams.
Review and sign off on any changes to the product release protocol, including both permanent changes and temporary modifications, via the site's MOC process.Qualifications & Skills:
