Job ResponsibilitiesMonitor stock inventory levels by running replenishment stock reviews on a regular basis and establish the replenishment plan.
Prepare and send enquiries for quotations to suppliers for price and stock availability according to required specifications.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, specifications, and expedite shortened lead times with suppliers.
Issue purchase orders to suppliers, distributors, or manufacturers according to the vendor approved list.
Follow up on RFQ/enquiries sent to suppliers and confirm order acknowledgement and delivery dates.
Promptly communicate cost changes and delivery issues to all relevant staff departments.
Assist purchasing in sourcing new suppliers for cost reduction and shorter lead times according to required specifications.
Enter suppliers' delivery orders and invoices into the system and maintain filing.
Review and respond to emails from the operations and sales teams.
Other duties may be assigned by superiors or management.
Job Requirements
Degree, Diploma, or High School Diploma (equivalent in any field).
Knowledge of market trends.
Strong negotiation skills.
1 to 2 years of working experience in purchasing, production, or warehousing.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
